Our Enviro group has had an exciting start at Henderson Intermediate School.  Dedicated students have already shared ideas based around improving environmental issues. Workshops demonstrating how to reuse and recycle basic home products are one of many ideas so far.  Term 1 will be spent assisting with maintaining our school produce garden. This provides our food technology class with a range of fresh vegetables. We will also continue to support our community by helping with beach clean ups.  Last year our year 7 Enviro group potted a variety of native seedlings to be used in ‘Trees for Survival’ later this year. We will be venturing out to plant these native trees on bare land that is in need of vegetation regrowth. 2020 is going to be an exciting year with ongoing improvements for our school and community environment.
